Choose the right install path.
Use the Chrome Web Store when it is available. Download the ZIP only if you want early access while store review is pending, or if the store install is temporarily unavailable.

Chrome Web Store is recommended
It is the simplest install path, and Chrome can handle future updates automatically after the store listing is live.

ZIP is for early access
The ZIP contains the same extension package, but it is for testers and advanced users who are comfortable installing it manually.

Manual install steps
Download and unzip the file, open chrome://extensions, turn on Developer mode, choose Load unpacked, then select the extracted folder. Manual installs do not update automatically.
